Conflict Coaching
Come with a Problem, Leave with a Plan.
The stories of our lives are the stories of conflicts we were brave enough to face... and those we were not.
The brave conversation you had with your boss that earned you a promotion. The unresolved fight with your sister that turned into years of silence. The persistent fight with your partner that, once resolved, strengthened your relationship and bond.

These are the difficult moments that matter most.

We know that the more a conflict matters, the harder it can be to approach it. We're afraid we'll say too much, we won't say everything, or we won't engage at all. Our rational thoughts are clouded by anger, frustration, desperation, or fear.
If any of this resonates, then Conflict Coaching is for you.
What is Conflict Coaching?
Conflict Coaching is a one-time coaching conversation that helps you unlock your own clarity, confidence, and courage to face conflict constructively. You bring your problem, we'll help you identify the best solution and path forward. The process blends the key concepts and theories of conflict resolution with the best practices of leadership coaching.
In a 90-minute session, we'll help you:
Recall the Current Conflict
Recall the details of the current conflict to gain insights into the dynamics that are at play: personalities, history, power, and culture.

What You Can Expect:
In your 90-minute Conflict Coaching session, you will

-
Recall the details of the conflict
-
We take you through a short guided reflection to help you see the conflict in a new light. We'll help you explore the many factors that are at play (culture, power, gender, history) and how to navigate them successfully.
-

-
Reflect on what matters to you
-
We'll support you as you identify what REALLY matters to you. Is it really about dirty dishes in the sink, or is it about the division of household labor, gendered expectations, and a history of feeling under-appreciated?
-

-
Identify how to get your needs met
-
Together, we'll look at the many actions you could take and assess which one will have the best chance at meeting your needs. Should you make a plan to re-engage the other in a conversation? Is there someone else who needs to get involved or provide their unique perspective? Are there ways you can resolve this on your own?
