Mahalo for 25 Years of Creating Change Together!

Updated: Apr 2

Mahalo to our amazing clients, collaborators, (and students!) for 25 years of incredible partnership! It's been a privilege working alongside you to catalyze positive change across Hawai'i and beyond. 🤙

Marina Piscolish

I know that it's not always easy to turn to outside support in your time of need. Your trust and confidence have meant so much. Perhaps I helped you craft a shared vision for your future, navigate a difficult organizational change, work through costly conflicts, design systems to get more done with less effort, build skills to strengthen collaborative partnerships, prepared you for leadership through one of my UH courses, or gather and tell the story of impact resulting from the work you do. Maybe you are one of the many partners that I have helped to do all of the above!

The chance to partner with you over these 25 years has been the most exciting time of my career. Through your partnerships and with the support of many talented collaborators, MAPping Change has been honored to help create organizational change and support leadership development across sectors: from K-12 education and social services to environmental protections and natural and cultural resource management.

Together we...

  • Established a national marine sanctuary in the North-West Hawaiian Islands

  • Helped build a system of marine protected areas and educated the public on their importance

  • Supported the collaboration among Hawai'i's Public Charter Schools

  • Expanded your organization's reach from one O'ahu campus to Hawaii-wide service

  • Told the stories of the impact of culture-based, project-based education on the Waianae Coast of O'ahu

  • Supported statewide changes in access to oral health and mental health services

  • Developed collaboration across federal, state, and local agencies to better prepare for and respond to natural disasters

  • Organized collective effort of cattlemen and ranchers to secure supportive legislation

  • Built the capacity of social workers, educators, nonprofit leaders, natural resource managers, and youth leaders to communicate effectively and lead collaboratively

  • Created a sense of hope and possibility in the face of complex challenges.

Mahalo nui for what you do. Mahalo nui loa for the chance to do it with you.

Whether we're in the middle of a project, just finished an engagement, or it's been a decade since we last spoke, know that I continue to be deeply interested in your progress and I'm grateful for and proud of whatever part I played.

With Aloha, Marina

PS. Please keep in touch! If you're a past client, collaborator, or student, I'd love to hear about what you're up to and how it's going. 👋
